He's an idiot for generalizing black women, but Ain't no generalizations when it comes to lipstick alley. It's fact that the site is anti-black.

A thread like this about black women on the coli would get thrown in the bushes 5 mins after it was made.

I'm starting to hate black men

That's your opinion. It's funny because again, lots of people have the same opinion about the coli. I've been on the coli long enough to know the those threads about black women weren't always thrown in the bushes.

Edit: right after replying, I saw this three page three (at 50 per page) on the front page of the locker room:http://www.thecoli.com/threads/black-men-should-end-black-feminists.471043/

It's okay to kill unarmed back women because of their ideological views...and the coli ain't like LSA. Yeah...right!

I was reading part of some book for one of my classes (I'm going to try to find it) and basically there was a situation where this black man raped this black woman's white room mate. However, this situation was kept between the black woman and her white room mate because the white room mate did not want an innocent black man ending up in jail because of her accusations. This whole piece was told from the perspective of a Black Woman.

I suggest you stop reading books like that because that makes no sense

There are black men going against the OP on that topic.

LSA is becoming more against black men and the coli is becoming more into promoting black women.

300 murders a year
how did the movie flop?
what was supposed to be it's first week #???

Selma with all the Hype machine only did 11 million the first week... 12 years a slave, did 6.6 million the first week.
both movies were funded by major and had double the budget, nobody call those movie flops.

the independently funded Birth Of a naTion with all the panning and boycotting, is set to do 7 million-10 million the first week... but it's called a flop.
:martin:
what was the numbers suppose to be?
Yea I noticed that, I think it's more of a nausea with the mainstream Hollywood approved display of black african history than it is people were against nate parker. Let's face it, birth of a nation ain't the kind of movie you take a woman who you trying to smash out to see :yeshrug: you keep religion, politics and history as far away as you can,

The propaganda machine on this movie is more alarming tho,

@GoldCoastSaint , how was the movie watered down? It got as raw as you can get with a rated R film. There were times that I had to turn my head away. Nate showed the barbaric shyt we had to endure during that time. So what was watered down?

I mean the actual story, not the movie itself. Turner was awesome. I liked the movie alot, but when I heard it was independent I expected more.

I remember when malcom X came out......wow the impact, I was just a little kid but I remember all the X hats, black Bart simpson shirts, African medallions.

Feel free to pm me anytime about anything. Whatever you need..:salute:

Yeah, I was in 8th grade when it came out and it was a movement. Black people were so proud. I don't even know if X was a box office success or not but I definitely remember the energy back then. I was really hoping BOAN would have a similar impact especially with all the pro Black energy right now.

I made a point to avoid all controversy surrounding this movie. I only know Nate was accused and acquitted. Im just now learning the accuser died.

Well I was excited to see it but was honestly disappointed in how watered down the story was. Nonetheless, Im going to see it again when my sister arrives in town this week.

This story is important. I was hoping it would have the same effect Spike's Malcolm X did when it came out and it made an obscure historical figure cool and had everyone wearing X hats and Ankara prints. I don't see that happening tho.

In what way was the story watered down, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't even care about Nate Parker or have a strong interest in seeing Birth of the nation, but i'm really disgusted seeing his detractors claiming that his supporters need prove that he is not a rapist. That's not how that works, its up to his accuser and her legal representatives to prove, using hard evidence, that he is in-fact a rapist, if they fail to do so then I refuse to believe he is a rapist. I am sick of feelings overriding the need to provide facts.
