Yeah too many coaches in college too loyal to they boys Jimbo got the same problem at FSU he lucky he got a NC recently but Jimbo having Charles Kelly in his 3rd year as a DC is a no no. Brian Kelly fukked up bringing VanGorder back for a 3rd year now he putting his job on line due to a 1-3 start.

like Rammer posted, he had way too much talent to not make a BCS bowl in 5 seasons. Briles in the cut would be a scary sight as long as they retain Corey Raymond (DB's) and Aranda. but the cloud over him is just too much, i dont see it. they need an offensive mind to go with the amazing D legacy tho thats for sure

thought Herman would build that UH program like Patterson and Chris Petersen, but offers from LSU/USC and possibly ND would be way too tempting. thats 3 premium jobs

like I said before in another thread, LSU recruiting wise has ABSOLUTELY NO COMPETITION in Louisiana.

Tulane?

Southern?

Grambling?

States like Texas, Florida, and California have a ton of competition. shyt, the entire BIG XII mainly recruits from 1 state [Texas]

That is a hell of a Job for a Coach. you can stumble into a top 10 class every year because most of the kids in that state worship LSU football.

Lousiana got an army of HS studs every year, allllll those kids ride with lsu in a way that you just cant explain. HS kids in Georgia are open to other schools.....florida kids....texas / cali kids...etc. But kids in Louisiana are down to stay home and ball in Baton Rouge.

Louisiana i believe was called the "the state with the most future nfl athletes per capita".
