VERY interesting looking. Only thing I hate is the whole "Blind Side" white family. I like Tim Roth, though. And Octavia is a must-see. I wonder what country Luce is supposed to be from?

I actually like the blended family. I'm guessing their expectations and society's expectations play a pivotal role in how he acts in the show. Not sure I'll watch it in theaters, but it is definitely on my radar.

I saw this at the West Coast premiere in April, the director and star were there too, it is easily the best I have seen this year, and will likely place high on any top lists at the end of 2019. Just a brilliant movie on all fronts, dark, gets under your skin in a format that is very akin to a play, with a lot of conversations, and excellent performances from every single cast member, including Spencer in a career high, and Tim Roth and Naomi Watts as a very liberal couple grappling with white guilt, shame, complicity, and a marriage.

Director is black to poster above me

Oh hell no!!!!:scust:

This is some white nonsense.

Let me see who the director is. :mjpls:

If you look up the director and the interviews, this is the BLACK response to Blind Side. Trust. It's gonna be dope.

I also saw a play written by JC Lee who wrote this, and it was just as dope. The writer is amazingly talented at conveying modern culture, race, privilege, class, in all it's messiness.

The play is What We Are.
