The Emmys have sent out their official ballots for the upcoming 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on September 20th. Among the choices for “Outstanding Structured Reality Program” are Lucha Underground and Eric Young’s No Limits.

While it’s still a ways away – the first round of voting just recently began – seeing the critically praised Lucha Underground actually nominated for an Emmy would obviously be huge for the promotion, as they look to expand into a second season with a much larger Spanish-language network deal, and bring in top names like Rey Mysterio.

The show is up against the likes of Bar Rescue, MythBusters, Shark Tank and Storage Wars.

As long as it's only a nomination, they shouldn't win this though. It's amazing that show was nominated at all.

I tried watching this the other night!

What is up with the back stage "movie like" story lines?:russ:

I saw the one where Chavo was talking to between some Asian chick and this evil Mexican villain looking cat.

Later he and some good jumped her and he brought her to the boss tied up!:mjlol:

Then I say another "movie scene" with Zeke and some guy talking about a match, Z wanted to have his cousin join but some guy came out of no where and destroyed his cousin. I was so lost:pachaha:

Because they deliberately incorporate a telenovela style to the story telling to connect with the Latin American crowds.
