In a vacuum I aint even got a problem with Matanza. It was his introduction and his ridiculous invincibility (that has somehow disappeared) that was the worst


The main problem I got is 2 of the 3 LU goats (Fenix Pentagon Puma) have held the title for a combined 7 days while this fat clown stumbled through 3 months of trying to figure out how to wrestle in a mask


He has had 2 good matches already though, so i'm softening on him.

And another case of how much better LU knows how to book in comparison to the WWE. Dario says that 1st match was the start of a Best of 5 series. He didn't start them from scratch for a Best of 7 and completely disregard the previous matches like Cesaro/Sheamus

Why is everyone doing "Best of..." series lately?

LU did A Best Of Five in the first season with Drago and Aerostar, which caused their initial falling out as well as Drago's eventual (short lived) departure from the Temple. It was also one of the first (if not the absolute first) of Dario's "unique opportunities", hence the callback calling this the "ultimate opportunity".

Oh, regarding Matanza, folks know I like the wrestler underneath but too many of his matches are him taking tons of offense, then hit one counter move, hit his finisher and 1,2,3, pinfall. I also think it's very telling (and mostly, very wrong) that his Dial of Doom matches open every LU show instead of closing it, like the bookers are aware the character didn't work as intended but they can't just drop it because you know, that dedication to kayfabe, so instead of having the champion main event they just get it over with quickly.
