Match was dope. So glad LU is back. We don't have any lucha brehs in the TSC? Seems to be the one subset not represented. Would be dope to get a lucha thread popping.:leon:

This is the thread and we are the Believers

First and foremost, it's great to be back.

secondly, I gotta admit. Since LU started, I cringe every time Johnny grabs his neck/right shoulder after a move.

Third , Johnny been one of the best heels in the world for a good while now. I said it in the other thread. Only reason he doesn't get the props is cause he's on LU. But he be killing it every time. Only other heel in the world I got on his all around level is Naito.

edit: nevermind mundo and his neck injury right now I fell for it :snoop::mjlol::francis::ehh:

edit: see what I mean? :russ:

Give Sexy Star the best current female wrestler crown, please. Sexy Star Forever.:mjcry:

When Dario said "THERES NO TIES IN MY TEMPLE!"? If it didn't get a reaction out of you, you're a bytch.

Lucha Underground back to making me feel like a lil kid, man.... :mjcry::wow:

I feel this goes for a lot of Lucha Underground stuff actually. Feuds, matches, stables, managers, LU delivers on all fronts and yet people treat it like a B-show that isn't worth mentioning.:francis:

Yeah, I think it's because of the Robert Rodriguez element.

It's seen as a Hollywood TV show as opposed to what it is, a regional wrestling promotion

well to be fair, LU is presented unlike any other wrestling show that's blown up this far, plus it seems like they have a real long term plan they're working towards. The Dario storyline(s) and the battle of tribes are long-term storylines that could be going on for many years/seasons. Those aspects are more regular TV

Current Lucha Underground star Matanza Ceuto or better known as Jeff Cobb, was the most recent guest on Sean Waltman’s; X-Pac 12360 podcast. During the interview, Cobb discussed how WWE wanted him to become a better performer by getting bigger, as well as wanting to expand himself into Japan pro-wrestling.

Here are the highlights:

On WWE Wanting Him To Get Bigger:

“Everybody wants to get to the WWE so I did a little thing with them and they wanted me to get bigger. Yeah, this is when I was only like 215-220 so I was like “well I got to get bigger”, I’ll get bigger so I just started lifting more and less cardio.”

Having His Eyes Set On Japan:

“I just feel my style would work there great; I think the Japanese fans would be really receptive too. Like, someone compared me once to Gary Albright obviously a shorter version and probably with better hair; I can’t grow a mullet. That is definitely on my foreseeable future list or my to-do list.”

How Cobb First Came Across The “Matanza” Gimmick:

“At first I was kind of bummed about being under a mask. At the time when they (Lucha Underground) told me the character, I didn’t really comprehend or grasp what it was but at the time I was just looking for any exposure to get my name out there and I just figured it’s something to expand on me personally instead of just being the same person over and over in every indie company.”

Cobb is a good dude. Met him a few times at some Indie shows. Class act guy.

I hate how they don't put the latest episodes up on demand. I usually never can watch live and I cut cable and just got Sling for this.
