From his attorney's statement he was jumped by 4 men (corroborated by surveillance footage and eye witnesses), and he started blast at nikkas in self defense. During the shoot out, Chaka himself got hit, but someone else died. Now if the guy who was killed was involved in the attack, I don't know.
Media is the worst when they do this, Googling Luda will now be associated with murder. Articles are even addressing him as “music manager for ludacris”, all photos include Luda and on.

Something nor adding up....why is he just now being charged with murder.....as opposed to manslaughter if who got killed was not involved and self defense was in play

It means he deliberately shot and killed the kid who may have just been an innocent bystander. It wasnt a stray bullet. Maybe he thought the kid was a part of the crew that attacked him but if you shoot someone you better get the right person. If he wasn't sure the kid was with the crew before he shot him then he didn't have enough information to claim self defense.
