I think people are highly overstating the chemistry thing. The two biggest for that team was that they had a hard time scoring and should go on droughts longer than usual and they had no one that WANTED to take over a game when need be. Granger gives them that without being so ball dominant. As much as we praise George formaking leaps and bounds this past season, he still averaged just 17 a game and sometimes he's a little more passive than I would like him to be.

I feel the same way about Leonard.

Exactly... Granger if need be can give you 20 points...

I don't see how it will be rocky. Granger is one of the leaders on that team.
well we'll see what type of leader he is this season now that paul george has emerged and roy hibbert is the should-be primary scorer. I never was a fan of granger any more so than i was of rudy gay but if he and the coaching staff come back with the right attitude and role within the team... something that didn't happen when gay came back to memphis... then Indy's good to go. Same thing with htown if asik and the coaching staff have they mind right in direction and acceptance.

i know he's been inconsistent, but if hibbert can continue his growth and aggressiveness as their primary scorer, and granger and george play their postion and remain efficient. then indy is pretty set as is, unless they just find a great deal for a pg

And still give you 5 asst and 5 or 6 rebounds. If I were the Pacers I wouldn't think about trading him especially if he returns to form. They're at a point where the objective should be to beat Miami and win a championship not just compete with the ready of the East.

And I understand that if you don't trade Granger there's s huge chance that he's not getting resigned but if they're really banking on the development of George, what are they losing if he continues to progress?

What pg tho? All of the great PGs ate locked up in multi-year deals. Only PG I could see giving them a true boost as a playmaker who won't get in the way and is s great passer is Dragic. But he's locked up for two or three more years in Phoenix.

And to this day I think the dumbest move the Grizz made is getting rid of Rudy Gay. I understand that they were cutting salary but they've had a llegitimate chance of being contenders the last few years and I think they ship has sailed.

Logo said something last week about these kinda deals that opened eyes. He basically said that he wants the best talented possible in any given situation. He was saying how too many organizations now are overthinking things and end up out thinking themselves.

this I simply disagree with. Memphis best team was '11 without gay and with battier oj mayo, t Allen, etc with zbo playin like a top 10 player and their primary scorer.

once those role players left, zbo got hurt and then regressed, and gay came back as their "best player" that's when shyt was a rap imo. getting rid of gay helped right the ship a bit but at the end, their role players were still worse and zach was never the same. but that's neither here nor there
