3) a 3-second rule (which by the way, was preceded by the illegal defense rule that actually restricted defenses more!)

Was looking for this thread because following European hoops the past 8 yrs or so, they don't necessarily play lockdown defense. Scoring is halted because if a ballhandler gets just a half step on the defender, many times that defender will reach out and foul to prevent a drive to the basket. No play on the ball or nothing. Just reach out, hear the whistle and they throw their hand in the air like "It was me, ref". We see you, goofy It's some of the most annoying basketball you can watch.

I was gonna say that and also, I may be wrong, but don't the have the basket interference rule, where you can hit the ball once it hits the rim or is that FIBA?

I’m tired of modern NBA discourse, seems like no one actually likes or respect the league from the players to the fans to the analysts- it’s just all negativity, this might be my first time since becoming an avid viewer that i won’t bother watching the regular season- i have simply had enough
