Luka VS Trae Will Be The Hardest "Best Rookie In Class" Debate Ever Imo

You implying that Lukas is a future mvp while Trae will just be a good player, I disagree with that statement because Trae has just a good a chance as luka to be an mvp. The kid has most of the tools of Steve Nash and Steph curry who are both hall of famers and past MVPs.

Like I said before, Luka is going to be an MVP/A-1/Be the best player on an NBA champion type of player. Trae isn't on that level and there is nothing wrong with that. I am not shytting on dude.

I never said Trae was a better shooter than curry I just said that he has similar tools to him and Nash. Only time will tell how both players progress in the future.

All luka needs right now is the right peices to complete the team jigsaw

Luka has his step back

He can also drive to the basket

His passing is top notch

His vision to actually see the pass is top notch

Can dribble

And he is super clutch

But mainly his IQ is high ( playing in spain helped)

Once he gets the right peices hes gonna be such a joy to watch

Trae is very good

But His ceiling isnt higher than luka

It’s ok to say that you prefer Luka over Trae without speaking in absolutes that you can’t prove

Luka is a great player, Trae is a great player and potentially the best passer in his generation. I believe Trae has a higher ceiling, Luka’s been a pro longer so we’ve seen what he’s capable of against other pros longer but the thing most of y’all keep forgetting is that we got an extra lotto pick for the Trae/Luka trade which turned into Cam Reddish. As it stands now the Hawks won the overall trade

Super inefficient too. His game is predicated on making bad shots. It's fun to watch when he gets hot but overall he's basically a net negative.

You can't rely on some one who can't defend anybody and is gonna shoot 2 of 8 from 3 most nights

Trae ain't got that kinda ceiling. It would be an absolute shocker to see Trae turn into a GOAT-level player. With Luka, you can see it already...

I don't even see how this is a debate. Luka is different, by the end of this season he's gonna be in Top 15 conversations, in no later than two years he's gonna be a lock Top 10 guy, and by the time he hits Year 5 we're gonna be asking if he's the best player in the world and his name is gonna be in those "best player in the world" convos for a long time after that...

This is all barring career-changing injury, that goes without saying. Injury can and has changed the trajectory of many careers and could do the same to anyone else at any time...

But this isn't close and I'm shocked guys think it's a debate, if both guys stay healthy, Luka runs away with this. Dude was the best rookie I've seen since LeBron and he's about to be one of, if not THE, face of the '20s NBA....

It'll take a few years to definitively say who won that trade but as of now, Trae plus Cam Reddish DOES NOT equal Luka Doncic...
