I watch that show religiously and what they don't show which I remember from a guy that was a detective on 1st 48 in Birmingham(Chris Anderson) when he did a talk at my job for some reason, was that they throw so much stuff at them that it's almost better for them to plead guilty than to fight a case with a public defender. So sometimes they'll say on the show that they're guilty of murder when they actually plead guilty to something else.
