Every team has luck.
This is true never denying that.

why dont the bulls just do exactly what youre proposing other teams would do though?

keep him and make one last run at a title and then let him expire

the window for moving deng fro an asset is pretty much closed.
Because if we go the route of clearing everybody out and going into free agency as players I don't see who we would have a real possibility of grabbing who legitimately makes us better. We almost have to strike gold with melo or pray lebron and wade clash somehow and bron then wants to be on the move again both very unlikely scenarios

We are talking about replacing a ton of productivity and defense with who, a aging Paul pierce? Or what we move a group of role players out and replace them with more mediocre role players? Somebody break down to me how we get better through free agency cause I just don't see it

Only way I see it is through a trade

Yeah but it has been a bit misguided the owner is almost loyal to a fault. He gave Randy Brown a job after he got broke and brought his rings back for him now he is the Assistant GM. He paid Jay Williams after he broke himself in half and thus violated the terms of his contract.

At this point, what would you rather see them do instead of clearing capspace for this summer and re tooling the roster?

Resign Deng, bring back Boozer for another season and be locked into that roster for the rest of Rose's contract?

Of course not but does winning it all have any part of the equation here? Is wasting rose prime years playing a part here?

We clear those guys out and then what? Who are we picking up to at least make us as good as we were with Booz deng and taj? That is a lot of rebounding defense (sans Booz) and points we dropping who we picking up to replace that with the 14 mill we will clear letting all them go?

That is why I think a trade is the way to go. Are you suggesting there is no trade to be made? If the front office gets creative enough they can turn a 2x all star who is known as a defensive glue guy who does a bit of everything on the most minutes in the league and on a expiring contract into something that either helps us now or gets us pieces to make a play in the future. Give any other franchise with some heart and smarts deng and watch what they do with him. It's just us who can't seem to get shyt done

Its a little late in the game to move Deng, they had their chances.

Why the hell would a team trade nice assets for Deng knowing they could just sign him this summer? Sorry, it makes no sense at this point.

Also, is Deng proving some guarantee to his new team he will resign with them if they trade for him? He is liable to just walk if if he chooses to test the waters

Its either blow this team up for cap space this summer, or continue with that same team moving forward.

You seem to want them to keep this team going?

So what real options are out there if they let him go?

Carmello? Doubt he leaves for the Bulls, but you never know.
I'm not even gonna list all the old nikkaz
Bosh?
Amare? :heh:
Danny Granger? :ehh:
Jason Richardson?
Marvin Williams?

Looking at the free agents, you might wanna keep the spearchucker.... :yeshrug:

Yeah, im not seeing a lot of options either.

I dont know what the fukk they should do at this point.

They need to hope for a miracle trade from a team dumping an all star looking to rebuild. :snoop:

I won't be mad if they don't resign Deng next summer. I think they have went as far as they can with him and need to trade him for some kind of help by the trading deadline. After missing out on players like Garnett Kobe Melo Pau over the years the Bulls need to make some sort of move to bring another star to Chicago. It's been long overdue for them to have someone else to pair up with Rose.
