well looking for alternatives myself but the file uploading sites are usually good for warez...only problem with them is that there are many (ie:uploaded/rapidgator/depositfiles/putlocker/zippyshare/bitshare etc)

but the flip side to that is whatever u looking for u can just hit google and filter search results by time and probably get what u looking for (ebooks/movies etc)

I use torrents all the time, but I'm in a private community. The only thing I've ever been warned for was downloading a Wrestlemania a few years ago. Had me thinking Vince McMahon was an evil deity or something.
