The problems coming out of the 80's and early 90s are completely different than whats going on now.

There was no internet...and whether people want to admit it or not, society is a lot different than those days.

I can't agree with that because racism is still very prevalent and impactful in society and to individuals. It isn't ALL about 1 or the other, it's not all about from within and it isn't all about what's external. It's about both. But you have to make the best of life the way things are, not the way you want things to be, and try to make things more like the way you want them to be. It is possible to help innovate your own reality at least partially by having a positive mentality.
