I still can’t put this album away. I think enough time has passed to declare this his best work.

Lupe is twice the MC, twice the lyricist, twice the storyteller than Kendrick, but since he doesn’t have Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre’s machine behind him, he’s not relevant in pop culture all while having a much better catalogue.

I don't really mess with Kendrick like that. Just haven't gotten into anything he did other than Good Kid Maad City but he strikes me as the Diet Coke version of Lupe. I listen to this album weekly still and some weeks almost daily. It gets better with age. A lot of albums got shat on in favor of Cardi B. This not even getting a nomination for a Grammy is a joke.
