I'm not even a Talib or Lupe fan at all, but Complex is always on some corny fukkshyt.
I hate when nikkas go on about the "culture"
but Complex hires a bunch of writers and bloggers that aren't of the culture and for the most part only interact with black people through screens.

The type of people that get jittery walking through a black area, and then make them the gatekeepers on what is relevant in hiphop?
I never been a Lupe fan musically but Lupe a real nikka on several levels, and the fact a peon like that Angel nikka, who I'm 100% sure would catch p*ssy if him and Lupe were face to face, feels bold enough to speak to him like that is wack.

My brother sold out for table scraps. Typical c00n shyt. Hurts :wow:
Im thinking the dude may have been a plant from jump. He never explained how he was able to get all those exclusive links. Don't be surprised if his parents are big shot jews in the record industry.

Good riddance to bad rubbish anyways.

If the article was a post on the coli I would've dapped it, it's fairly reasonable. ..I understand why lupe and kweli especially would feel a way, but in context it was valid
thats what im saying... i think most people are mad cuz of where the article came from and who wrote it.

but the article is legit right.... Lupe caught feelings... Lupe should know what kind of space u need to be at to listen to music and it sure aint at a barbique or club.

fukk CACPLEX

It's nothing but cacs and new blacks over there too and the shyt irks my soul. All there posts and articles read like some cac or c00n who just started listening to hip hop 4-5 years ago and now feel they are the voice of the shyt. I didn't even read the article but I know they were dissing Lupe and Talib on some sly shyt and that's why Lupe cussin' em out... that's what these cacs do
Big Biz is a new black? :lupe:

Now they copping pleas lmao.

Here's a Talib Kweli and Lupe Fiasco Playlist for Your Next BBQ

Last night, I wrote an article about "real" rap heads raising their fists at party rap. I caught a lot of heat for it, mainly because Talib Kweli andLupe Fiasco took a couple lines as disrespect. For six hours they and their minions called me out of my name, shytted on my pen, and kept asking me to repeat myself, all because I used Talib and Lupe as examples of "that real shyt, son."

Below are the two sentences that set Rap Twitter on fire last night:

"Can’t be listening to Talib Kweli rap off beat and Lupe Fiasco deep cuts at BBQs.I, too, was once like you, but come on, don’t nobody wanna hear that shyt all the fukking time."

When at a gathering, whether it be a cookout or house party, there's always that one "real" rap head who ruins the mood by putting on rap music no one wants to hear. These are the same people who always talk shyt about acts like Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug, and Future because "that's not that real shyt, son."

The ironic thing about all of this is that I used to be that guy. I constantly complained to friends about not listening to that real shyt. I turned my nose up to Young Thug, Max B, French Montana, and the like early on in their careers. I felt like I was better than some people because of the type of rap I listened to. However, as I got older and started working in the industry around younger people I expanded my rap palate. I learned to enjoy certain forms of rap I felt were beneath me. I champion guys like Ka, Roc Marciano, and Jay Electronica in the office constantly. The uproar proved my point.

Since Talib and Lupe were upset about me saying I don't want to hear them at a BBQ, me and my colleague Justin Charity decided to put together an Apple Music BBQ playlist featuring only Talib and Lupe songs. We made sure to include tracks in which Talib raps off beat (see: "Get By") and threw in some Lupe deep cuts for good measure. We know the summer is about to be over, but these curated tracks are timeless. Thanks for reading (no really). Let's continue to debate different forms of rap. Angel Diaz
