Compared to Lupe very few are top tiered lyricist. But Kendrick is a far superior artist, song writer and performer.

But when it comes down to “bars” Lupe is correct

You don’t have to like Poetic Justice but it’s an iconic song in Kendrick’s catalog. Lupe doesn’t have many of those and Kendrick has several...
I love Poetic Justice .... but better than American Terrorist ...c’mon now

And I don’t know what you mean by iconic songs

The other major thing that goes unmentioned is that Kendrick sells White Jesus something fierce, while Lupe doesn't really. Selling White Jesus brings the casual/"fans of the sinning, but ultimately nonthreatening negro" crowd in droves. Ask Kanye.

When i say iconic I really just mean “songs that a lot of people like” lol. Too early to call them classic but in 10 years they will be viewed as classic songs...

Like I said y’all are entitled to your own opinion. My point is only about what separates them career wise.

This is nothing but the truth

Paris, Tokyo is a better song than Poetic Justice.

Kick, Push is more iconic than Swimming Pools.
Paris, Tokyo is no better than Poetic Justice at all. And I never mentioned Swimming Pools so...sure.

But that’s still just one Lupe song. Kendrick’s catalog is deep. I forgot about Hi Power

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I mean ok ...that’s fine but how is it difficult to see why people who loved that music would also find tracks like “Complexion” “You ain’t gotta lie” and “Wesley’s Theory” anything less than easy to listen to when those pieces of music so heavily lean on those influences?
I didnt say I dont see why anyone liked the album. I said I dont see how anyone can think its more accessible than T&Y. T&Y is a far easier listen to the casual ear imo. And thats if u ignore all the lyricism and metaphors.

Cute. Bro, you're absolutely retardedly delusional if you think the streets fukked with more Lupe singles than Kendrick.
