It's pretty much accepted that the prosecution botched that trial severely. I wouldn't go as far as to say alot of people think he's innocent, but most people with an understanding of how the law is supposed to work pretty much agrees that there's no way OJ could have been found guilty even if he did it because the case against him was so weak.

The biggest problem is that OJ was not the only suspect, but he's the only one they investigated. There was a well known serial killer active in that area who claimed that he killed Nicole and Goldman, Also OJs son was also a possibility. He was a nut with a weird stalkerish obsession with Nicole.

There was no way the prosecution could argue "beyond a reasonable doubt" because they failed to explore all the possibilities.
