Lupe Fiasco or Black Thought: Who Better Lyrically?

Lupe by lightspeeds. Here's my gripe about Black Thought. Dude is wild slept on and a good lyricist but breh is a rappity rap ass rapper. Meaning he's not really saying shyt half of the time and once you break down the bars, you get the following:

• Something something I'm from Philly
• Dated lyrics discussing Philly
• Rambling gibberish that sounds good but when you read it
  
• His best work was when Dilla died

Meanwhile, Lupe is like a whole entire entity. Dude could say a bar and it would be an entire thesis based on the bar. The man can create songs, destroy rappers (Royce fell back so hard, he became a stan), and even create full fledge albums with such cohesion.

Man's work of art is going to be the testament of time.

I love Thought but no lies told here

Lupe by a thin margin. The substance to density ratio is stupid.

Thought is incredibly perceptive and impressive in a thoroughly and consistently lucid and insightful way.

Right. Thought has better presence but Lupe’s conceptual density is unreal. Lupe has an almost literary quality and it’s not fatiguing like so many other lyrical-miracle artists who themselves aren’t as enlightened or intelligent or daring to embrace certain topics.

Right. Thought has better presence but Lupe’s conceptual density is unreal. Lupe has an almost literary quality and it’s not fatiguing like so many other lyrical-miracle artists who themselves aren’t as enlightened or intelligent or daring to embrace certain topics.

It's almost to the point where he just raps in metaphor then delivers bars on top of the metaphors. And he doesn't deliver the like he was building up to it, it's just a line in the song. If you catch it you catch it, if not it still works.
