Lasers made me pretty mad, I can't lie. I didn't get lost in Lasers like I did in Food And Liquor and The Cool.

But FAL, TC, and his mixtapes are gold. Period.

From the mixtapes, his features and 1st two albums I was with him hardbody but he has damn near completely lost me with these last two albums. All Lupe has to do is drop a solid 4 MIC album and he will get me back, he earned that but I have to hold him accountable for those two weedplates he dropped.

Up until Lasers, dude was dropping fire all over the place and people were either championing him or just didn't fukk with it. Fahrenheit mixtapes, It Was Written mixtape, and Lupe the Jedi all had fire. Failure had some of the craziest Hip-Hop writing I ever heard at the time. He owned Ignorant Shot and Dead Presidents. Hell most beats he was hopping on during his mixtape run he pretty much dismantled.

It was Lasers that really did him in and since then he hasn't seemed to give a fukk about his public image and it's obvious he wants to be done with his label/music industry period. shyt like Animal Pharm is whack though. He still has moments of greatness (Go To Sleep, SLR, Enemy of the State) but overall he's just become corny as fukk and does too much. I always respected him before be cause he would always talk about social issues in his music, and dude also had a crazy amount of bars that could go over your head.

And I'm a Lupe stan but the dude is just doing too much on and off the mic these days.

This, let's not act like prior to 2009 Lupe wasn't considered a top 5 rapper. Dude can get back on track but he needs to humble himself.

His Trials and Tribulations mixtape is a classic.

I stopped fukkin with him when he tried to be super lyrical though. Most of what he says is unnecessary
