OG Lasers, was completely different than Atlantic Lasers.
No Kid Cudi, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga. And so many songs scrapped.

How is this controversial btw? Can't a nikka drop lyrics anymore?

What? Cudi, Gaga and Minaj weren't on Lasers.
And Lupe himself said that the process behind two of the songs poisoned the project or some bullshyt. Then he said it was his best album, but he didn't like the process behind the two singles.

He kept on trolling his hardest regarding that album.

The controversy about this song is leading knuckleheads to think that he's sayin something deep in regards to Jay and Yr or that he's dissing Jay or Ye.

a. they were always this person inside, but didn't have money to act on it or was scared to be in the hood acting like this

b. the industry really is crazy. they get in the game and it fukks up their brain

c. the label pushes them to do crazy shyt... stylists, pr people, label heads tell them if you "different" you'll stand out

I think they have different reasons..
Some people are attention hoes like Lupe who only dress crazy at official events, some are hipsters like Cee-Lo/3 stacks and really the whole dungeon family, some are fashionistas like Kanye and Asap and some just wanna live like a rockstar and a part of that is having your own distinctly defined style like Wiz.

I have no problems with it, why should people dress the way magazines and other nikkas tell them to? Unless its out of respect for a dress code.

But also the reasons you gave.

So Atlantic said no to Minaj, Gaga and Cudi but forced him to put popstars and cash money producers on there (which he was reluctant to) .

Doesn't make sense.

Every "new" rapper in the past 5 years because of Wayne & Kanye mostly have merely combined pre-existing styles w/ radio ready patterns.

In short Kanye is still the best artist and MF Doom is still the best rapper. And @iAmLoadedLux has the best verse. KL had the best album.

@LupeFiasco I agree with you, as a rapper he's ok but as an all round artist he's easily the best (kanye)
