And I remember when a dude on SOHH said he was feeling like Lupe should write for Jay, and then all of a sudden, all of the idiots on SOHH carried that one statement over here, and started up with this "Lupe writes for Jay" sh*t. It really goes to show how easily dumb people can be led.
Jay was actually in the F&L sessions coaching Lupe on flows and which lyrics to keep and which to toss. Helping him catch certain beats within timing. Since he was executive producing the album too. And for people who've never been in the same room with Jay, to speak about his personality like they've been around him, is just ridiculous. Dude has never been "arrogant" or "gassed" in the studio.
Producers who came through and play him beats have given him hooks and have gone over how he can do the hooks with certain cadences. Hov has always let producers either give him a whole hook and tell him how to say it, or guide him on how he can deliver an idea he already had. He's always let the producers lead and trusts that they would know what's best for their track.
