In order to promote his upcoming album, Recovery, Eminem did an interview with The New York Times. Besides a lot of things they asked him if he thinks that Rap has peaked creatively...here's his answer:

I don't really see it as a diss...for one you nikkas add so many layers to everything lupe says, music or tweets, it doesn't matter. Why couldn't he be talking about em taking shots @ ye and jay AGAIN? (ie, seduction)

Lupe ain't put an album out...lupe an em are definitely two of the greatest on the mic but they aren't in competition, the nikkas who the line references have and are in his class as far as mainstream appeal/sales go, sounds like he's acknowledging the shots em are throwing at THEM.
