I love Lupe.
I like Royce.
Imho, some of Lupes' bars were nerd-corny but he had some decent disses. A few knockout attempts. Beat is empty trash.
Royce's 'song' was a lot better. The beat was better, his flow was varied and in pocket. It lacked the knockout diss bars but it seemed to be the 'feeling eachother out' portion of the boxing match, first round type shyt.
I think I look at bars in a different way, though. As most applaud unnecessarily technical bars, I am of the school of thought that simpler, poignant bars delivered through exceptional flow is better.
I.e. An extreme example being the average K Rino bar vs a Nas bar on the same subject
