This reply that I'm about to write is weak as fukk:

gay ass beat, I mean why would he rap to this shyt in a battle, this pop ass shyt, I wasn't for skyler grey to come on with a hook, what is this shyt

sailor moon has beat, what the fukk is wrong with lupe

The beat is wack so Lupe flow was wack, it was all over the place because the beat really ain't have no ride, where on Royce track he was flowing controlled and dominating the beat

the disses were meh, Lupe went at him more because he his going second, but the little jabs royce had, lupe didn't even address, I mean Royce basically called him a c00n with You Respect White People more than you love black people

and lupe responds with a c00n answer like what about black on black crime, talking about cleaning up to the community and other irrelevant shyt that cacs do when they want change the narrative lmao

Nice try son
:umad:

Now go back to the Royce thread

He’s not washed, he just doesn’t do the trying to fit a multisyllabic entendre into every line thing anymore. He’s still delving deeper than 99% of artists and still using high level language. Lupe’s real advantage is that he just has a far wider swath of subjects that he touches on, and I’d think if you just ask nikkas to rap, he’d be able to go longer.

and ofc no one is a rap student like the guy, so if you throw out a subject, he’s gonna go crazy on that too

Yeah Lupe and Doom are the two guys I'd say that can rap about anything and have fun with it. The most impressive thing about that tier of rapping is constantly challenging themselves to speak on something.

2013 Earl though

:hubie:

Rapping around anybody. I'm glad that he's matured mentally and spiritually and his raps reflect that.

"This is feeling as hard as Vince Carter's knee cartilage is". The way he structured that rhyme in Chum and the ones on Rusty

:wow:

I understand why rap fans no longer rock with him because he's on another style but he played that old one out. Can't force a sequel.

Yeah, I mean he's even commented on trying to do old songs during concerts and his mouth don't even work like that anymore :mjlol:

There's a ton of deep lyricists that don't entirely around entendres and mullti-syllables, and he just grew out that phase. I think he might still be the most technically skilled 15-16 year old I've been introduced into hip hop though. I still play some of his 09-11 shyt just to marvel at it

why is the goofy nikka Mickey trying to prove himself in front of Royce...im lost. Lupe smacks Royce, then Royce tries to lil boy Mickey?

I gotta go back a few pages bc this storyline is confusing

Honestly I think Mickey is bytchmade
he a puss
he even lets Lupe smack him around, i've seen Lupe son him on IG live.

But Royce is bytchmade too for going at Lupe by going at Mickey, and then saying after the diss not saying he better but saying Black Thought's freestyle is better than Mural LMAOOOOO :mjlol:

Tis the ways of a perpetual sidekick I guess

Royce dominated the beat?
The guy had one flow throughout the entire beat which is why many people did not listen to his diss in it's entirety but everyone listened to Lupe's many times.
Secondly holy shyt he was just trying to squeeze as many words in as possible, that's wack, you gotta let a beat breathe man wtffff is this amateur shyt?
No quotables

Were you watching the podcast they had together?
If you didn't then the reason why you don't get it is because you don't have the required context.
It's like listening to a song about a movie you didn't watch.

He more than one flow, he would go into one floor, then go back to the base flow, it's called structure

something Lupe's shyt didn't have which is why it doesn't sound good

you're not just rapping when you are making a track you are making music lmao

yall culture vultures I swear

He wasn't making music, he was making a diss and was likely freestyling
He was dissing him in a format like they batting on URL
Again, if you didn't listen to the podcast or many IG live events you wouldn't get it.
Even royce was always talking about Los, Lux, Mook, Dalyt and battle rappers. That's how this entire beef started.

Why do Micky let nikkas like Royce and Budden talk to him like that???

if I was him and Joe Budden tried to talk down on me like that :

I’d remind him that I was there when Raekwon and them Wu goons slapped the shyt out of him and he ain’t do nothing.
