Word. I think Lupe got this back and forth exchange as far as disses, but this definitely wasn't some insurmountable attack that Royce can't come back from like nikkas making it out to be lol.

Royce is one of my favorite MCs but on a pure lyrical level he just ain't got it in him to rip Lupe in my opinion. Royce usually has one of two modes. Either he's in that rhyming a lot of words not saying much but it sounds amazing mode OR the more simplistic style where he wants to actually convey a message like he did for most of the Book of Ryan album. I haven't seen too many examples of him being able to blend the two styles which I think he would need to do. When Royce gets to trying to diss and joke he's got a real corny sense of humor IMO which would be the best way to win the battle cause he won't out technical Lupe if that makes sense.
To be fair, this the first time I've seen Lupe in a back and forth, it was a good first effort, but it's not as if it was a life altering diss. And I don't believe the talent gap between the two is that large. I don't think he'll kill Lupe, but I think there's definitely things he can say to Lupe that will make Lupe look crazy if he does it right.

The coldest thing is Lupe added a moment of silence at the end of the track, because Royce got murdered
