I felt the same way. Really impressed by the bars, but musically it's fading a bit

I'm a known Lupe detractor but I swear I'm not letting that cloud my assessment. It sounded sorta like other modern rap music to me on 2nd spin. Like, people killed the direction Ab Soul took on 'These Days', which I loved, but this record is kinda the same lane beatwise. Imma play it again straight through. I had to break up spin #2 into two nights.

The hook is nice on its own and the alluding to the album covers to come up with the hook is just cool nothing crazy. I don't get the hate for it.

I think its kinda ill... really askin why we/they got that mindset as babies... or more so what turned these babies into those representations of them? But theyre not roadrunners, they turn into poofs on the desert floors

Nah I'm not saying it isn't. Yea I like the idea as well. I just don't get fam bringing it up as if there is anything wrong or wack about it.

So I think we can ALL agree that there are only two MC's with the capacity to create a better album this year. Nas & K.Dot. There's nobody else with the lyrical talent and the ability to pull off incredidble concepts across an entire album. I'm really feeling like 2015 is going to be the year Hip Hop makes a REAL lyrical resurgence. J.Cole dropped an incredible album, Lupe came and CRUSHED the buildings. Nas and Kendrick have had two years to craft something amazing.

Also can't forget about the Ghostface and Badbadnotgood collab album.
