im loving this album so much, make room on the bandwagon. I really fukked with F&L 2 but this album Lupe really grabbed my attention. Honestly haven't messed with an album like this since GKMC.

Yo if we're talking about Gemini (AKA Gemstones) it's a goddamn SHAME his Troubles Of The World album never got a proper release. Gemstones is one of the tragedies of Lupe's tenure with Atlantic as 1st & 15th never got the proper push as an imprint that it deserved (I'm sure Chilly's incarceration didn't help matters) Gemini and Mathew Santos got done dirty...


Anybody know if Gemini and Lupe are still cool? I know since he decided to go the "Christian" route he hasn't been the same but Gemini could spit his ass off and he really could ain't as well. He was what Drake WISHES he could be from a talent perspective

Either he definitely wanted us to play the album both forward and backwards or that boy the biggest troll ever and is taking advantage of his deciphering ass fan base.

I generally dont check out the rapgenius stuff unless I hit a wall on something, or i know its a reference I wont get because I dont watch anime or something like that. But I noticed something on Mural they were missing that I thought was obvious from the first listen...

Road runners don't fall off cliffs, they run across

Wildin' pursuers end up as poofs on the desert floor

in that second bar he is making a reference/connection to the Matrix building jumping scene where Neo falls before he realizes he is the anomaly and is able to "run across" building tops. Kind of a more advanced version of the Road Runner thing. And it should be "Wiley pursuers"

Yeah, 'Blur My Hands' is really ill to me. That 2nd verse is wordplay at its finest. And that beat goes hard and soulful. Surprised some cats was seemingly like it wasn't a top 5 track on here.

Album is fire.

I put the Cool in the whip (SWIDT???) to see if i was just on some fukk Lupe shyt back then and it's significantly cornier than T&Y. The beats are bland, his flow is on that corny shyt cats were doing back then sounding like homos and shyt. I'm only up to 'Superstar' though. lotta album left. I recall liking the beat tp paris, tokyo & gold watch.

I'm glad he sounds tough now.

I know a lot of people back in 07 were saying The Cool was better than F&L but it doesn't get much play from me these days

i play both versions of F&L straight through all the time

but the cool i typically only listen to go go gadget flow, paris tokyo and hip hop saved my life... i don't care to listen to some of the darker/weirder songs on the album
