It was obvious the minute I heard that private prison reference. Kanye doesn't give a shyt about any social issue outside of "white man not giving me awards." I think he wrote the line "there's new types of racism like come in and buy more" which just seems so trite to me. I love the song but come on breh, we gonna act like stores don't be asking Justin Timberlake or Lady Gaga to buy jewelry, cars, etc? That's an out of touch black man trying to prove he going through "the struggle" like non-rich black men, and it just fails. I don't believe Lupe wrote that line.

song is still amazing tho :blessed:

being black is a struggle. You see how other people profit off the black buying power? so black businessmen and professionals don't face glass ceilings? you sound out of touch on your statement.

"even if ya in a benz ya still a n!gga in a coop/coupe"

How is Kanye West struggling? I'm not talking about black businessmen or professionals, I'm talking about one of the biggest stars in the world. And when he goes into a store he is treated like a star, not a black man. He's treated the same way as Justin Bieber is when he walks into a store. Buy this, buy that, here's a car, here's a chain, etc. And the funny thing is that Kanye propped up that materialistic image for a decade, now he's mad that people assume that's what he's about? He wants to become anti-corporation, anti-materialistic now? Or is this just his him being upset about the media hounding him (you know, because he's dating a professional attention whore), and determining that=racism.

Album is dope but come on breh, Kanye is fake. Hence getting Rhymefest and Lupe to write his activist raps.
