until i get the product in my hands, i don't believe a word mr fiasco says

i respect your opinion but keepin it 100, lu aint Dre or Jay Electronica or even Busta, 50 and the rest of these cats when he says "The album is coming. I feel like this is my greatest one yet...blah blah blah" He has always delivered the piff, short of lasers. Lupe is pretty much the only dude in rap that says "Ive got somethin" and even if he can't get it out the way he wants to he still delivers it, by either dropping just the song, or one of his mixtapes. You could even argue that F&L 2 wasn't the complete heat rock he wanted but the main track he wanted us to hear was Form Follows Function and that delivered. You could argue that T&Y didn't deliver but he wanted us to hear Murals and that delivered.

You definitely cannot like those songs, but you can't say that they are a step back from piff. Everyone always big ups their own albums (they are rightfully supposed to) but how often do you hear Ross or Lil Wayne, etc say "Get your ears ready, this one is a classic" only for it to be something very similar to what we are accustomed to or just another single?

I remember a super thread on SOHH where we would clown artists the basis would be like: Before the album drops- "Mannn this is my greatest one yet. Im able to do what I want to do, Im workin with the producers that give me the sound I need. This one is for the streets, this is for the real nikkas, it paints a picture of the realness that we live."

After the album flops and the failed single with Trey Songz "Well it didn't really come as planned. We got pushed back a couple of times. The label pushed back my budget as we were rapping up the project so I have a couple joints from Dre that I can't use because it aint paid, I got a couple features I couldnt get on the disc. But now im gone from that label. They didn't fire me, I quit, the truth is ive been unhappy with that situation for a while. I still got those joints though, I own my own masters so the features, the joints with Dre you'll hear them, they are comin out. My new label, the new people im workin with are with me to give the people what they want and what they need. The joint with Trey.....that was for the ladies, it did its thing but it didn't really pop. Overseas it's gettin numbers, they really like it. It didn't get that push over here like it was supposed to so it is what it is :manny: Look out for the new mixtape."

We know Lupe's struggles with Atlantic and basically those pushed singles that were already manufactured that went to other artists like B.O.B and shyt (airplanes, nothin on you) is have seriously fixed that and moved on and given us piff. While everyone else keeps failing to meet the hype and regurgitating the same excuses.

I kinda wished Chilly was out so Lu could do a joint venture deal with a major label. Imagine if FNF would've done the joint venture deal with Rocafella back in the day Lu would be so much more appreciated

trust me breh, im one of the bigger lupin stans on this board but lupe always changing his mind or having label issues. first retirement, then the three disc LupEND, then actually saying it would be 3 different albums with the first one being TGARA, then changing the title to We Are Lasers, no actually scratch that name it LASERS, then promoted "shining down" as a single, fukk it just throw it on the itunes store, then announce "i'm beamin" as a single, ehh fukk it not on the album either. Fast forward a couple years later after right before F&L II drops and claims a sequel on the way, nope doesn't happen, and claim an album called skulls is on the way (and now it resurfaces and he wants to yap about it). rename F&L II part 2 as tetsuo and youth, perform "crack" and "next to it" as album singles and once again neither making the album. i love lupe breh, but the nikka has a career out of throwing out bogus drop dates and album singles out there, just whatever he feels like saying and shyt plus whatever label issues he may have at the time. whatever tracks and shyt he carried over from scrapped albums or changed titles or label issues, but damn at all the editing this nikka had to do in his career.

That could actually still happen. Lu is a free agent so I'm sure he can take FNF anywhere he wants. I doubt he wants to mess with majors after Atlantic though.
