Sounds like you got a bit of self-hate in yourself for taking it this hard. All she did was do a speech at the Essence Black Woman Festival educating people the reality of self-hatred of your own skin color and how she was once brainwashed into that mentality and want to be an example for others NOT to hate their own skin. Yet, you cannot see past the fact she gave a testimony about her childhood. And then go off of your own blind prejudice about a country you clearly have no understanding or knowledge of.

First of all, you need to READ on the history of white oppression and their made-up supremacy and how it was/is catastrophic on the entire world. The extreme methods that Europeans did when they invaded and controlled the entire continent of Africa for more than 300 years and still have large economic control and political influence is appalling.

If Lupita was someone that lives with self-hate, she wouldn't be even aware, or find excuses to justify her desire to bleach her skin, wear weave, have blue contacts, and so on. She wouldn't even do a speech like she did telling OTHER women not to fall prey to self-hatred. By if you cannot see the full speech in its obvious context, then you have a bit of an issue yourself. The fact you are unaware that there ARE Africans of different variations of pigmentation, and hair grade proves you are ignorant in understanding the people of that continent, no less the history.

It's not self hatred that lightskinned black women usually look better. It just is what it is. You sound like those black women in america whining about slavery is the reason for everything even their own fukked up choices. Explain how a black women in africa could wish she was lighter. Break that down and make it good

How the fukk you have skin color issues growing up in Kenya? :mindblown:
Very simple. She's female and Luo. Let me explain: Luos and Kikuyus are rivals;you mainly see it in politics,(Jaramogi Odinga vs Kenyatta in the 60s and their sons in last years prez election) but it also plays out a lot socially.
During the independence struggle of the 50s,over 90% of the Mau Mau were Kikuyus, with most Kenyans onlookers or colonial supporters. Uhuru was attributed therefore to Kikuyus. The Uhuru gains were therefore enjoyed, but by no mains solely by Kikuyus;engendering an understandable complex among Luos and other Kenyans that plays out in many ways.
Socially, one of the biggest laughs is seeing how hard Luo men simp for Kikuyus they'll often admit, its just to "be close to the yellow." Hope that helps without going in to an essay!

Yes and no. General oval straight face but not as hot-though they think they are! If you see these women in Kenya chances are high they'd be Kikuyu,Kamba,Maasai or Taita.

Yes or no? I'm talking about the skin color not face shape. Are there tribes in kenya with women this light? since you are the kenya expert.

I looked up the Kikyuu as well. Like @Dman414 says, they have a similar skin tone to Luos. Rivals or not I see no difference between the two tribe's skin tones. The Maasai are similar too. If there is any, it looks superficial, meaning not significant from my perspective. I personally believe Lupita is just a c00n and she watched American/European media and got these ideas stuck in her head. Maybe she read magazines too, who knows.

exactly my brother! I call shenanigans on on that lupita bytch. It like that poster said how do you have skin color issues in kenya? yet all the tribes are the same complexion. That skin color shyt was something her american black women handlers told her to say when she got over here.
