Kenya is going through a catastrophic drought (exacerbated by climate change) and millions are on the brink of famine. I cannot in good conscious praise this obscene portrayal of wealth in a country with so much abject poverty. This isn't black excellence. Just greed and corruption.

The amount of salt in here. :picard:

I’m talking about nikkas brought out the Himalayan, Sea Salt, Kisher and regular ass table salt.

All over a video that doesn’t represent Africa as some poverty stricken place that people should avoid.

Some of the responses is what I would expect from st0rmfr0nt. When people show mansions in L.A, do y’all go, “well what about poverty in Appalachia and Alabama”?

Man I watched this documentary one time detailing the slums there and it still sticks with till this day. When you say grinding it's no exaggeration. Its like these people don't exist to they're governments smh.

And yet, this is just urban poverty where social ills make it more marketable. In some rural areas my friend hmm...I can't explain it, you"ll just have to see it. You see, we like ignoring a lot of things as Africans on the internet, when you point out the reality, people start making excuses for politicians etc.

Do you know that some selfish gvt officials and bureaucrats use NGOs as a hustle. The suffering you see there is used to borrow donor funds an steal from soft hearted westerners. These people don't care whether we live or die. However, the government carries like 60% of the blame.
The socio-economic culture in this country from the upper, middle and lower classes is terrible. I"ll make a thread in the root about this topic and see whether other young Africans have noticed this.

That's one of the biggest problems I had with Kenya on one hand you can easily get a stately Wanye Manor outside of the city for a very decent price but you also have some of the worse slums known to Man Going from Westlands to Eastlands is A Tale of two cities on steriods, It's low key disgusting

Tanzania is not lit in the same way but there isn't as much grinding poverty there so I didn't feel as fukked up stepping out of my fly ass mansion as a did walking out of my Condo in Nairobi and passing by a dude and his chicken shack which looked as good as his actual house right next door.
i think it comes down to social economics. Kenya has one of the better gdp per capita on the continent, but has some of the largest slums.

Senegal has a smaller gdp per capita but their poor don't live as miserable as poor Kenyan. their population has better nutrients and health care and I don't think you need a high gdp to provide that.
it's the same thing in South Africa, the most developed nation in sub saharan Africa but has some of the worst slums on there

That's the problem too much theft. If they steal so much shyt could be so much better.

It's a paradox because especially comparing Kenya to TZ TZ is bigger and has way more resources but because it was socialist it's way pooer but the society is more equal. Again the average Breh could get a Mansion outside of say Nakuru maybe 90 mins or so from Nairobi (without traffic) for around 250 a month. I know because that's what I paid for my walled mansion. But you could also pay 40K a month for a really nice place in Nairobi itself where you could almost see the Kibera slum about two miles away where you're maid will live.

I was born in America and I will die here. My roots are here. My culture is here. It wouldn’t be right to just uproot into another man’s land and live off of what should be theirs.
Breh I understand what your saying but we all are on borrowed time. Enjoy your life how you see fit breh. We own nothing on earth
