“Beto” isn’t his name...his name is Robert O’Rourke. Beto is a Mexican name that he’s going by trying to win them over. Dude is Irish:mjlol:

The atmosphere of this event tells me Cruz is winning this election:(. Cruz got applause for bullshyt. Beto didn't even get applause for talking about white privilege and criminal justice reform even though he was speaking some real shyt.

It appeared like Beto got some cheers mixed with minor boos when he shytted on Trump.

Cruz thinks that siding with the cop who killed that man in his own apartment is a winning issue. :picard:

“The officer contended that it was a tragic mistake,” Cruz said. And until the investigation, and perhaps even a trial, is complete, he said, it’s premature to call for firing Guyger, as O’Rourke did.

“Without knowing the facts, Congressman O’Rourke is ready to convict her, ready to fire her. It’s a troubling pattern” of assuming the worst of police, Cruz said — of inflaming mistrust of police through “irresponsible and hateful rhetoric.”
Even if it was a "tragic mistake", how does that preclude firing her? :why:

Can you imagine coming home from work and saying, "Dang honey, I made a tragic mistake at work and killed someone, but I convinced my boss it was just a mistake so they're not gonna fire me."

:snoop:

He also defended "thoughts and prayers" as a response to mass shootings. :mjlol:
"I'm sorry you don't like thoughts and prayers," he said. "I will pray for anyone in harm's way."
