I work in the music biz

People would love to be in his position.

99.2 percent of aspiring rappers are going nowhere
he just sold 12k albums... i said what rappers... no local ass wannabe rapping nikkas... like i said, anybody wants that money... don't matter if it's a wall street banker "damn they make how much, i wish i could be in that position"

what artists would love to be in a position to have their boss follow them around, interrupt interviews, control what they say, control what they release, all to the tune of 12k albums... the migos wouldn't even want to be in thug's position

you work in the biz.. you know it's all about numbers.. they don't care about how how you think you are... are you putting up numbers or are we going to put your ass on this shelf over here

That's all irrelevant to my point. You shouldn't be calling an artist trash if you admit to never listening before.

How's it irrelevant when i asked you to prove me wrong then? Like i said i dont need much proof.

I usually dont call artists i dont listen to trash before i hear 'em, but in this case im so confident about that opinion. Other wise
i just hear a song & see what they about as artists and if i dont like it i just stay away from it completely instead of keeping up
with the fraud side of the game with all the troll threads, videos, news stories etc. I just dont give them the attention they want.

But im right on this. Many folks agree with your point & dapped you but still noone wants to showcase what i asked for. Says alot.

thug was just on breakfast club for 45 mins with not one word from lyor except "he's not allowed to play that"

he's there to keep him in line... same as he was with migos... every other question they had to turn to him and ask if they could answer

this is some new shyt... no other a&r is doing this... at all... ever

I've never seen so much fabricated hype over an artist to come out & sell less then 20k albums EP, Album or Mixtape... this dude was supposed to be on Wayne's level according to the internet but ever since that reality check he's been on a leash with Lyor & even Birdman has backed away from him. It's as bad as Atlantic believing Sevyn Streeter was going to be a star despite below average commercial music... her situation got so bad she had to start dating labelmate B.O.B. just so she could stay in the industry behind the scenes after her projects flopped so hard. Look for Tinashe to start dating internally as well... that's what usually happens. I agree that a lot of aspiring rappers would love to be in Thug's position but then again 90% of aspiring rappers would give away their publishing rights just for a little social media fame. Dudes contract & overall situation isn't something anybody with a brain would honestly want especially considering he hasn't made any real money because he has no hits & tour money is so fabricated that most barely break even in their shows.

A lot of these dudes are selling an illusion & they're pretty much contracted in slave deals forcing them to work around the clock basically being extorted until they're no longer profitable. That's why I don't understand Ross blabbing about 50's money situation when he has a few Ted Lucas/E-Class level cats hands in his pocket until they run him dry too. That's when you'll see those loaned cribs & loaned jewelry & cars disappear real quick. You'll know an artists REAL situation 2-3 years AFTER their last record. That's when the truths come out when the label stops putting support behind their brand & sends them that bill of expenses they accumulated while being signed.

Exactly. We've seen time after time after time. fukking platinum artists doing world stadium tours, come out and say how they getting jerked, label owns everything, they broke and they need to eat

But suddenly I'm supposed to believe nikkas in a 360 deal (Lyor confirmed) selling 12k records who aren't even allowed to be alone are the gods of this here? Nah. Thug signed to about 5 nikkas before Lyor and still ain't doing numbers with him. He's not doing mega shows, he's doing local clubs and shyt. But I'm supposed to believe he caking up and one of the hottest in the game. No. Not at all

He's not on any 90s to 00 rappers like Wayne, Jay, nas, even nicki

Not on any current star level like Cole, Kendrick, drake

He not even a b lister like game, Ross, Pusha (yes Pusha did 100k on MNIMN)

Like who are the fans trying to fool here? If he does 50k IF they ever let him release an album, I'll be fukking shocked

But let Thug come out & say he's getting $20k a show & his fans blindly run with it. It's so easy to fool people I will never underestimate the phrase "There's A Sucker Born Every Minute." I remember one of my friends posted a photo of them in front of Roc Nation out in LA with the caption "God is Good!"... not in the offices... not in a meeting... not even IN THE BUILDING... just simply a photo of them outside of Roc Nation. 250 "Likes" & over 50+ comments congratulating them on their "Success." He had nothing to do with Roc Nation at all, no meeting or anything... just simply posted it to keep his PERCEPTION going.

Look at how many people Jaywan has been able to hustle out of money with a FAKE Press Release & a photo inside Atlantic... dude created a FAKE discography & the only reason he's even exposed now is because he didn't know how to keep his mouth shut... he could've played people for years to come without one REAL placement & he still will when this dies down.

With all the tricks I've seen people fall for blindly without even doing so much as a Google search it is amazing how you can make people believe anything you want.

The Prestige still has one of the most powerful truths I've ever heard when discussing the MIND of an AUDIENCE...

"Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be fooled."

 And that's HORRIBLE BUSINESS ADVICE on DAME DASH part and validates why he lost the bulk of his equity within the Rocafella Brand....

Also there ain't NO SUCH THING AS DOING WHAT YOU WANT once the terms of the deal is met simply cause your FAMOUS .... :bryan:

It didn't work for MICHAEL JACKSON and it didn't work for PRINCE and neither JOHN LENNON...

so what makes you think it would be different for this "glorified trap rapper" from ATL?!?!:sas1:

Lyor company is a CONTENT PROVIDER and that content is the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTIES of the artist...which LYOR Has made his living off controlling...

And just when the deal obligations is fulfilled is when LYOR gets real GANGSTA......

ask PUBLIC ENEMY...ask FOXY BROWN what happened when they THOUGHT THEU COULD DO WHAT THEY WANTED ONCE THE DEAL ran it's course :mjpls:
