I ain't saying we should give all hood nikkas a pass, Tekashi from Brooklyn but he garbage, but least they actually came from the struggle 'stead of living off of mom & dad's white collar salaries

Joyner is from Worcester and sold drugs and shyt. How did u know he didn't grew up in the struggle?

Give wack rappers a pass because they come from the hood brehs

:russ::mjlol: breh this is how it's always been. "Real nikka" rappers always get a pass no matter how bland they are or how much they bars epitomize struggle.

nikkas make the same song 12 times saying "hide the dope" then hav the nerve to call it an album and basic niccas eat it up like it aint the same as the last bunch.
That nikka Tee Grizzley (:mjlol: fukk kinda name is that) is a prime example of this. Got one of the worst flows ever heard talkin about shyt that's been recycled a thousand times over but gets a pass cuz
its "fo da streets"

Everybody has white fanbases, hip hop's the most popular genre atm but they've all contributed to underground & mainstream hip hop, Logic, NF, Token & Joyner have a majority white fanbase and have contributed nothing to hip hop, they're praised as top 5 rappers when in reality they're just dogshyt & average using their flow as a crutch. Do you want the genre that birthed Jeru, Mos Def, Black Thought, Sticky Fingaz, Big L, Spice 1 & Tupac to go from that to cringy & corny lyrical miracle rappers that were birthed by Tech N9ne.

:dahell: nikka Tech N9ne is dope. Just cuz a nikka uses a so called extensive vocabulary and a lot of technical shyt doesn't mean they tryna sound smarter than everyone else. Some nikkas hav a legit grasp of all those aspects and use them effectively.

Tee Grizzley's flow is :scust:

And his entire content consists of:

Lexington, Kentucky
Lansing, Michigan
Rolex store robbery
I didn't snitch
I did time
I know gang members
Joy Road
Scientifically impossible water boiling temperatures

:mjlol: @ bolded and yeah that nikka flow is absolutely atrocious. As much as I hate mumble rap / turn up I gotta give them brothas credit cuz they flow is often hypnotic, hence why people fall 4 the okey doke with that shyt. This nikka Tee Grizzly goes in like there ain't even a beat.
So yes :scust: indeed

None of what OP is talking about is new.

Early 2000s had rappers like Slug, Eyedea, Sage Francis and Esoteric who spit "real hip hop" that mostly appealed to white suburban kids who didn't wanna listen to "that gang stuff" there was also that one rapper like that who crossed over to the mainstream just like someone like Logic has. Back then the guy's name was Eminem.

We're talking damn near 20 years ago these same types of "lyrical miracle" rappers existed. They got their box with their crossover that makes it to the mainstream every once in a while but it ain't "taking over rap" (admittedly Em did but none of these new guys are) so don't worry. Just listen to what you like and ignore what you don't

I always hated the term lyrical miracle. Furthermore, you say rappers like Logic and Joyner are ruining rap but mumble rappers are not? Logic and Joyner got their own fanbase but they are not running rap like Drake. So I don't see how they are running hip hop.

:ohhh:

I fukk with tee grizzley but got damn this accurate as fukk

Just curious how do u listen 2 this nikka rephrase the same thing over and over again and not be bored by it?

Lyrical miracle rappers 4 the most part just continually boast of being better on the mic than everyone else (:mjlol:) and get mocked but others who use the same approach with different content get a pass.

At least the rappity rap nikkas flow is on point if nothing else:francis:
