Nah Jay's rhymes on RD were more lyrical and complex but his flow and delivery had improved on Vol 1. Plus to me, he was at his most arrogant and coldest on Vol 1. Throughout his career, you would see sprinkles there (Show You How, Big Pimpin, Is That Your Chick Etc) but Vol 1 going into Streets Is Watching soundtrack era Jay is a kin to when Kobe took on the black mamba persona. He was spitting that sh*t in such a cold/vulgar way that hasn't been quite duplicated yet

I just started my session.

I'm going with Vol. 1 first than RD

off the rip, I wanna say that these Pain in the Ass intros are under appreciated in history. He killed all of them

cosign man i love those pain in the ass intros. he's great at remixing classic gangsta flick dialogue into some relevant hip hop hood shyt. wonder what breh is up to these days...

anyway @stomachlines i honestly am at a loss with this question. it's a cheap cop out but i'll have to call it even lol. he changed his delivery for the sophomore effort but i can't say it's actually better. for every dope rhyme on Vol 1 is an equally dope rhyme on the debut
