It always cracked me up when a rapper unnecessarily tries to break some shyt down. The only thing worse than this shyt is when a rapper says a basic ass punchline then says get it right after:dead:

2 examples that always stick out to me is when Noble of the Outlawz said "I had to hustle to dawn; that's when the sun came up" on Hail Mary

:childplease: Like nikkas don't know what dawn is

The other example is on Renee by the Lost Boys when Mr. Cheeks said "She told me what she was in school for, she wants to be a lawyer, in other words Shorty studies law"

I thought it was "Till the sun came" as in he's grinding 24/7.

The Noble one actually serves as him enhancing the image for the audience. Like hustling in the dark and moving in the shadows then having to retreat as the rest of the world woke up. Maybe I'm reading in to it too deeply but I don't mind it.

"Making late night phone calls

On the telephone"

-Tyrese

:why: ...On which device, other than a telephone, would one be on to make phone calls?

Not a rap song but that line in Sweet Lady used to always annoy me.
