How can you co sign her comments about being copied if you don't know who she is?

I don't get how anyone can say Beyoncé or Rihanna are copying her style I just don't see it.

Not really the copying her style thing.Just some of the points she made in the article.

Y'all want to discredit M.I.A but was the first one to bring Diplo's production mainstream. That shyt is everywhere now.

She did have hella influence, saying she's just the "paper planes" girl is a little disingenuous.

Her comment is a reach though, but I see where she's coming from a little bit.

Now I prepare to get shytted on by nikkas who really don't know music:upsetfavre:

This is my 1st time hearing about that AfroPunk situation. We'll see the coli do a 180 tho. Usually it's F Asians, F Indians, but they'll cape because they hate Beyonce.

:manny:

She's trying to play the "Woe is me, I'm a Brown immigrant, we suffered more than you" card. She mentions how Beyonce like Michael Jackson before her, had an easier route to stardom than she did because they had help from family. Why was that important to mention? Bey and Mike still had to put in the work. Vocals, Dancing, learning music, etc.

Even than, Michael grew up in Gary IN in the 60's/70's, it's not like he grew up with that silver spoon. She says the industry "Can't market Brown" implying that her South Asian/Sri Lankan(and apparently in her own words)Arab is a deterrent. Why not just go after white people who make these decisions? And didn't she grow up in London anyways?

There's so many angles I can go with her comments.
