
I mean, she was told not to go. Can't fault her for avoiding the mess. She obviously has something she cares about, and the AfroPunk audience cares about
something else (Black issues.) It doesn't necessarily reflect poorly on her to pull out of something that she is at odds with, especially if people shyt on her presence when she
gets there. This frees up space for someone more sympathetic to a black issue to stand up.
How many other folks would have said "fukk your issues, but imma take this check"?
