do you not understand if you dont completely take the battery out of your laptop and unplug it. its ALWAYS ON.

have you ever heard of wake on lan? it means i can turn on my computer via the internet from some other computer some where else in the world.

lol. wake on lan is easily turned off in bios and is usually only used in small network setups.

without wol no way you will able to do what youre saying. it also needs a live/persistent connection, which is not quite trivial if you have dynamic ip addressing
