Same as me, those are my only options and I have DirecTV. How did you manage to get Sunday Ticket free?

I'm in the second year of the contract so the bill has jumped up.

It was apart of the bundle/promotion my ex wife signed up for due to switching to them from Insight/Time Warner. I was eating good that first year
I was reading around the net from DirecTV subscribers that some people have had success in just getting the Red Zone Channel only and not the Sunday Ticket..it just depends on what customer service rep you get on the phone

I cancelled on July 13th. They immediately started hitting me up with deals for price drops, bill credits, 3 months of premium channels and all that. I knew that was coming already so I wasn't moved. They called me with offers for like a week or so. My plan the whole time was to resign up under my wife's name after 2 weeks or so. So this weekend we set it up and they are coming to install everything on Saturday. New upgraded equipment, free NFL Sunday Ticket, 3 Months of premiums, etc..

I go to clean up my email because I aint checked it in like 2 weeks and see these fools done offered me to come back with the complete new customer package. I was told by those with Direct TV experience that that was the one thing that they wouldn't do. Oh well, everything is getting set up regardless.

This just tells me that being a loyal customer don't mean shyt to them though, you will always get the hook up by complaining or cancelling.

man I got 4 HD cable boxes thru comcast, and them shyts alone cost me like $40. what a fukking ripoff. no premium channels, yet my bill is still $175 a month for cable and internet

and fukk 3D tv's, why don't they have tv's with built in cable box technology so we can avoid the dumb rental fee?????

I have Comcast, I pay $86 a month (including taxes) for 2 DVRs + 2 regular boxes, internet, cable and HBO for 6 months. Then my "promotion" expires.

So after that period, it goes up to like $120, and then $150, etc...

But as soon as the 6 months is up, I call, complain, and ask to speak to the "loyalty" department. I get them, I yell for 5 mins then the next 6 months I am back at $83 a month and I have no contract. I have been doing this for about 3 years.

So I have to call them 2x a year, big deal.How hard is this?

How does everyone not know this? Why are these threads being made? shyt is embarrassing.

I worked at comcast years ago, and we were NOT allowed to give folks promotions if they just came off a promotion or threatened to cancel. maybe it's changed now, but that shyt didn't fly in the early 00's.

Just called dtv and put my account on suspend (need to rip some stuff of the dvr before i fully cancel) & canceled Comcast internet...what do I do now ?

I can't knock ya'll hustle. I'm actually on a promotion right now, so I got no reason to call them for the time being.

Guy gave me an unprecedented one year promotion. It costs $93 after taxes, a raise of $7 from my previous one, but he said I would not have to call for an entire year, which was big selling point to me

And I got HBO for the year along with my other 200 channels I never watch lol.

Can I ask you why they always only offer HBO as the free one? I mean they have never offered me Showtime or Starz or Cinemax as part of a package.

They all fukk you. Hell I got premier internet and advance tv package with whole home dvr with Cox. I pay 186 a month after tax/fees. no premium channels

I have Verizon and get a decent deal, but my mom? Verizon charges her $200 a month for basic no HD no DVR cable/internet/phone
They won't budge either, so I'm currently looking for another provider for her. Any suggestions anyone?

If you want the new Genie Equipment for free, just cancel that shyt. They will send you boxes to send the receives back. Do not accept any of their deals over the phone to get you back, hold out. Wait it out for like 2 weeks. Once they stop calling, they will at least send you a final email with 1 last ditch effort to get you back. It will be there best offer. Probaby the new customer deal.
