Production was maney as hell. Dre shytted on 'Mall's producer (Khayree) in the same song and effectively ended his career too. The 90's were wild :whew:

Nah Mac Mall was still a bigger draw around this time and after. The diss was heard but Mac Mall was very much a big dawg in the Bay at the time

this was even on Rap City heavy at one point in 99-2000.

Mac Mall fell off when he tried to keep up with the Hyphy movement.

he had a spark again in the late 00's

I needed some new old shyt to revisit cause I'd been getting bored with Hip Hop again. This gives me some more old stuff to revisit that I hadn't listen to in a while.

I remember before Tower Records close, I was just buying shyt from there for cheap and a lot of what I got was Mac Dre's albums. I had this Romp compilation too

There's still some good cuts if you look for them imo. Revisit Explicit Game by Dru Down, the Luniz, and 3x Krazy's discos if you want some good old school
bay music. You also might like a an old comp by a couple producers from out here called Rhythm and Green.

the catologue is deeper than Dre himself

his affiliates came with it: Dubee, PSD, Da Unda Dogg, Reek Daddy..etc.

Wide open was a cool track, but by and large folks out here weren't really looking for him after that dis. He definitely lost his lane because of it.
