First off, I aint no cac lover so miss me with that.
Second, listen to that bullshyt blue slide park then Watching Movies. you will clearly see progression at a level not seen in a while. and hes about to drop this live album with the internet as the backing band, and has a song with Future and fukkin Thundercat on it.

His music is becoming dope don't let your pre-conceived notions on him fool ya.

Got to c/s this, I couldn't even get through 3 songs on blue side park, corny cac trash you'd expect from a cac rapper

But watching movies was actually dope and musically was damn good

I dont agree at all. His bars were still trash on Watching Movies, but now hes rapping about deeper topics than what he was before, but he has mostly stupid shyt to say about them.

He was rapping about a bunch of philosophicalquestions on Watching Movies, but he obviously knows nothing. Not as much of a cac hipster as Macklemore, but still a cac hipster.

Out of the albums that came out during the first half of 2013 Watching Movies and Yeezus are only ones I still listen to on a daily basis :ahh:

I hated Mac at first he used to be a Macklemore type rapper :scusthov:

i remember first peeping that kids mixtape and thinking it was well put together. i didn't think the dude was nice or nothing at the time. just had a good ear for beats and a nice flow. then about 6 months to a year later i got annoyed cause i would see him all over tv and i was wondering to myself wtf has this kid really ever done to where he's getting all this tv time vs other rappers? anyway, ffwd to checking out that statik selektah album where he's on that track w/ sean price...there's no way you can't tell me that the kid didn't improve. lyrically he was far and beyond from where he first started out. i'm just basing it off of that one track tho, cause after i had downloaded his movies album my computer crashed. i'll check it out once i re-download it.

Had a friend that tried to put me on Mac Miller. I listened to Blue slide park and thought it was trash.
But since watching movies got a lot of praise from some great posters here on the coli and he had some interesting futures on the album I had to check it out.

And I couldn't believe it was the same guy that made that poop of a pop album 1 year earlier. I dont know if he have improved that much as an MC since I dont want to go back check out BSP again.
But the subject matter is so much better and musically its on a whole new level. Even if its full of "philosophicalquestions" like someone said, its waaay more interesting to listen to then "party every night" songs. Who are we to judge his questions aren't deep enough? It's his personal reflections after getting famous and starting to realizing that there is more to life then doing stoner and party music.

I never expected Mac Miller to have the answers and I am not looking for them either when I put on a rap album. I just want dope music and I got it with Watching movies.

(My friend that tried to put me on Mac, was disappointed with Watching movies)

I have to agree as well I didn't like him prior to Movies...

Now I hear all these white hipster hoppers are into Hoody Allen. I guess the Mac replacement.
