The people who were actually around mac forreal recently aint say he was super depressed, this had nothing to do with his ex either

He was just a recreational drug user who repeatedly rolled the dice and it caught up with him

I had a cousin die the exact same way, dude wasnt depressed at all he was just stupid and he prolly felt dumb as fukk once he entered the afterlife, it's a useless death, nikka OD'd in front of his mom and sister at 16

This past week was pretty tough listening to his music especially some of the older stuff. KIDS was a big part of my high school experience and it's crazy to go back to songs I haven't heard in over 5 years yet still know each lyric . As a hip hop fan I'm kind of annoyed at myself for not really giving his later catalog a listen until now because shyt is HEAT and very diverse. I'm sure many other people feel the same but that's life I guess. RIP Mac you were an inspiration to many

Miss Mac... his music was so personal and relatable it almost feels like you knew him and he was such a cool muthafukkah, he almost felt like a homie

Literally watched his whole career progress from the first video he ever dropped from his K.I.D.S mixtape even to the corny Blue Slide Park days and after, he just kept re-inventing himself and diligently working to become a better musician and produced GREAT music in the process. With Swimming, he was only just hitting his prime. He had so many more years of great music to go and I was looking forward to being along the ride. This man death really got to me ... Mac hip hop for life though and his music will live on. People gonna catch up now since he was underrated his whole career
