Yo this is dope. Looking to get into some of his other projects, what are some of the best?

Just to me, Mach is more creative with how he displays his music. And I’m not gonna front say I get every reference or I speak fluent creole. It’s just them Greselda cats are kinda repetitive after a while. Mach beat selection is top notch, the flows are crazy, whatever metaphors I do get are pretty deep, he just smooth with it. I get it that he has became the new “oh I’m super smart and against the grain” rapper that earl sweatshirt or j Cole but the praise is warranted for me.

The bandana: he explained in a interview he keeps his face hidden as to not let his image distract the listener from the stories and rhymes he displaying on his albums. I’m simplifying it but basically he says that sometimes the storyteller takes away from the actual story being told.


Beef with GXFR: Ever so often, Westside Gunn starts to feel himself and goes on Twitter rants. One such rant he had went at Tha God Fahim and Fahim spit back. Westside throws subs and jabs at both of them and on the last Easter Gunday he says Mach retired and became a painter. Mach and Fahim are intensely close so Mach rides with Fahim. They throw jabs at each other all the time on records if you catch em. Recently Westside Gunn said on Twitter that he “forgives” Mach and wants to do music but Mach hasn’t responded to it. I think it’s because Mach has been growing one of those loyal followings that makes careers last 30 years while Westside Gunn and them are losing their luster over at Shady.


My personal opinion: even though Mach metaphors and reference are very very niche and if you know you know, he is 1000 times the rapper that ANY of them Greselda nikkas are. His beat selections are great, he has substance and nuance and a world knowledge that leaks through the rhymes. Same as Fahim. Them Greselda nikkas are 1.5 dimensional.

As for this tape: flames from start to end. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
