I remember that Vanilla Ice hardcore/nu-metal album back in 1997....I actually really liked that album and I'm not afraid to admit that even though it seemed so fake and just a go to at that point.

And then there was "Mind Blowin'" before that in 94...which was some gangsta rap stuff that was so fake and that was when he was done...the whole game just changed at that time.

They won't though. This is that buddy buddy generation of rappers where people are too afraid to call each other out for fear of losing their meal ticket and fukking up their money. Lord Jamar has, and that's indicative of the only people in hip-hop willing do so...cause this would of NEVER been acceptable in the 90s. Like Macklemore would of gotten hung by his feet from a hotel balcony like Vanilla Ic or PM Dawned off stage like KRS ONE. That hip-hop vs. Macklemore photo says way too much about this.

But ofcourse, anybody who does call this guy out on his BS is labeled as "insensitive" and "primitive" and "cruel" and "old fashioned" not realizing that this genre wasn't meant for them.

i hear where you're coming from, but i think an artist of a certain stature can easily call cacklemore out and not suffer any kind of repercussions. a lot of people don't get that cacklemore is NOT that popular. his album (if it even went platinum) took forever to go platinum. most people only know him by that thrift shop song, and many people who listen to his stuff end up hating his music. the guy thinks he's bigger than he really is.

if someone like jay-z calls him out, cacklemore is finished. we already see that drake is going after dude, and you know drake won't be fukking his money up by checking this cornball. i think cacklemore is getting a big head and he's about to suffer the vanilla ice treatment. we'll see.

Pretty much asking for the neg train with a post like this...

Not my fault people can't handle the truth. This man will have a long, fruitful career. I won't be surprised if next year Rolling Stone declare him the King of Hip Hop. His net worth in the next 2 years will make people cry.

Black people and rappers need to start calling this corny fakkit out. That is what needs to happen. Until then, he will continue to do slick shyt like this. One of these big time rappers needs to check cacklemore soon. This shyt is unacceptable. :snoop:

I don't get this.... You want (Black) rappers to call out/hate on (corny) Macklemoore, but a rapper like Drake can get a pass......

How is what Macklemoore doing more unacceptable than what the majority of hip hop acts doing???

i don't consider drake a cornball. :yeshrug: cacklemore isn't a rapper and doesn't respect hip-hop. he needs to be dissed and ran the fukk out of hip-hop.

How doesn't he respect Hip Hop? I'm curious as to what makes him respect it any less than 90% of the rappers out.
