I'm already getting Arkham Knight and seeing that the combat is similar I might pass on this one.

Ah, yeah he's right. Avalanche is using their in-house engine while Arkham is using Unreal 4.

Omnidirectional-lock on, simplistic combat in Arkham is very different compared to Assassin's Creed combat. I'm playing IV right now and at the very least I enjoy the combat.
