6 viewings?

Are you a big movie fan or some shyt?

I saw dark knight 3 times and guardians of the galaxy 2 times

You must not visit The Film Room much, lol.

Yes, I'm a big movie fan and then some. And if I ever could make one movie in my entire life, it would be a movie like this.

Just came back from seeing this but holy shyt....for once the hype was right and then some. Maybe its cause I'm kinda high but that was more of an experience than a movie. The production for this movie was crazy. The environments an special effects sucked u in to that world had my ass glued to the seat :whoo:. The action scenes....hell the whole 2 hours was an action scene. No corny jokes, no lazy romance subplots. Just 2 hours of straight adrenaline piff :feedme:. Man movies like these are why they invented movie theaters.....for real tho:ohlawd:

So it made $109 million opening weekend.

Hopefully word of mouth gives it legs.

Studio estimates have tomorrowland opening at $50 million and poltergeist at $30 million so we'll see.

With a $150 million budget(seen it reported the budget was actually 200 million) to green light a sequel the movies going to have make $350-$400 million at minumum.

Less max IMO is more, we already know his origin, he's a good man trapped inside a bad joke, he's not dead yet even though he would rather be, he has no home anywhere, he just keeps stumbling into situations where he instills hope in a world gone insane. That's what keeps him from throwing away all morality, as he wanders the scorched earth after the great collapse.

This was another example of why practical will always blow away CGI. Sure there are some things where CGI needs to be used but when you can do the stunts... DO THE STUNTS. This is the most amazing looking action movie I've seen in a long time. :ohlawd:
another reason I love edge of tomorrow so much. I heard Abrams is doing a mix for force awakens

did anyone get the feeling that this is more Furiosa's story but from Max's perspective

All of these Mad Max movies are about other people's situations from his perspective. The 1st one wasn't about Max until the last 20 minutes of the entire movie. The 2nd was about the community itself, Max wasn't even the true hero, he was just the diversion to drive the rig... again in the last 20 minutes of the movie. And the 3rd, half of it was Max centric until it went into being about the Peter Pan kids.

you'll have to excuse me this is the first and only mad max movie I have seen.

so he's not really a character in any of the movies, but rather a vehicle to help move the plot along?

does the first movie at least attempt to develop him?

I don't know anything about this film.

I don't know any of the characters or storylines.

Will I still enjoy this movie?

Fist one is his movie, but its basically a punisher story, in fact the scene where they kill his family was recreated in that thomas jane punisher flick

The 1st movie... like 80% of it was about his partner, Goose... until he got killed and the last like 20 minutes or so was about his revenge because the guys that killed Goose killed the his wife and child. It was AFTER he got his revenge is when he became Mad Max.

Believe it or not, HARDY's Mad Max has the MOST character development of all the Mad Max movies, because in the previous 3 films, Max was never truly "Max". He never was crazy in the head or anything of that nature. In Fury Road, it shows a Max that's truly just... OUT THERE. Keep seeing visions... always having a long blank stare... just having overt post traumatic stress. Before, he was just a drifter that doesn't really want to be bothered, but reluctantly finds himself in these situations that never directly involved him.
