madonna, along with whitney, janet, mariah is one of the touchstones for female music superstardom. in reallity she sold more albums by far than all of them, i think she sold like 200 million albums world wide, where janet not even at 100 million. mariah and whitney have about 150 million. madonna really is the blueprint for a lot of people. she also makes dope music to me as far as pop records go. she is dope for what she is. she's the original beyonce. basically any dude that gets with her will be seen as her lesser half, not the other way around. in many ways, she pimped these hood nikkaz on some exotic shyt, like a white suburnban kid living vicariously through rap, but ultimately she enjoying her white privelage.

yeah, janet has the best catalogue of any female in the last 30 years as far as i am concerned. whitney is the best singer but i only like about 3 or 4 songs. mariah was similar to whitney, great voice, horrible bland over powering songs, but she switched up in the late 90's and started making better smoother music so i'd say whitney and mariah are better vocalists, janet had a better songwriting team, but madonna is not far behind janet in that category. but she was the best at managing media and selling her image while still giving you dope music.
