I was okay with that at first. Like, oh I get it it's the 40's and cars are slow, this is how they drove back then! But when you have to do that timed mission where you need to drive to all those gas stations to sell those gas stamps before the timer ran out was frustrating as fukk! I mean damn, if you tried to do that mission in anything other than that car you stole a few missions earlier you can forget it. Even with that tune up that boosted the speed and handling you still needed to be Dale Earnhardt to finish with any type of time left. That was the only frustrating part about the cars being slow. That one other mission where you had to drive Henry to the doctor was pretty bad too but if you knew the layout and Empire Bay pretty well it wasn't that hard to get there and lose the tail. That gas stamp mission though, no amount of planning was going to help you unless you were flawless in driving and braking.
Originally Mafia 3 was supposed to be a next gen launch title but I think the layoffs they had hit them harder than they expected. The crazy thing was Mafia 3 was announced as a next gen title before the next gen consoles were really a thing and they just now are getting around to a casting call? Probably won't see this game for another 3 years at this rate.

Mafia II was fukking great...the atmosphere of Empire Bay
That ending sucked.
The Gay Tony DLC was the only good thing about GTA 4. I mean I enjoyed the game and Niko's story but TBOGT was so much better in terms of missions and dialogue, Mafia 2 as unfinished as it was as a open world game was still better imo.

Mafia 2 was unfinished and it was still better than gta 4 in my opnion. nikkas can actually hide from cops none of that "I never saw you come here but I know yo ass here" shyt like gta 4. You can change the license plates
(cops stop following), you can get gas (makes the car faster), you can rob stores , like damn I would of love to have seen the finished version.
